Introduction

New Work at Height legislation, more competition and an increased emphasis on health and safety in the workplace is forcing all decision-makers to introduce changes to their present window cleaning services. It goes without saying that as a water-fed pole operator such changes can only have a positive effect on your business.

The National Register of Ladderless Window Cleaners is a database of independent companies that provide window cleaning services using water fed poles. Prospective customers can search for registered members using our online search facility. Support from the Welsh Development Agency along with the continued success of the register during 2004/2005 has enabled us to offer members even greater benefits for the 2005/2006 membership year.

Since the formation of the Register on the 26th November 2002 a number of our members have suggested that we develop a website enabling them to access information such as health and safety guidelines, risk assessment advice, supplier details, a weather forecast, a discussion forum, and a lot more. Our management team has listened and as of October 1st 2004 we launched www.ladderless.co.uk (password required).

The Certificate of Registration

The most significant change to the membership package for 2005/2006 is the introduction of a 'Certificate of Registration'. Members will be required to meet certain criteria before being awarded the certificate and subsequently becoming a member of the National Register. Due to recent changes in work at height legislation many of our existing members suggested that such a certificate would help reduce 'red tape' for customers by replacing the requirement to obtain customary information before awarding a contract. This ensures members are ahead of the competition increasing their potential of winning new business.

A CD containing the LaddersFree Registered Member logo will be supplied with your certificate. Members can use the logo on their own stationary and add the logo to their company web page.

Website Listing

During 2005 LaddersFree sent over 15,000 brochures to independent establishments across the UK to make them aware of the recent changes to work at height legislation and encourage them to use www.laddersfree.co.uk to find a local window cleaning company in their area, and as a result a number of our members received requests directly from customers to provide quotations. Our website is currently receiving on average more than 1700 unique visits per month and therefore it is important that your profile is up to date in order that your prospective customers can obtain the relevant information, there will be no additional costs to make changes to your listing.

How to Apply for Membership

The cost of membership is £95+VAT.

If for any reason you do not meet the criteria to become a registered member your payment will be returned.

You can apply for membership now by printing off the registration form and other relevant documents from the link below. In the application pack will find a membership checklist with a list of the documents that must be returned with a cheque made payable to 'LaddersFree Ltd' for £111.63. Once we have verified the documents, you will be sent your Certificate of Registration, along with a copy of the member's logo on a CD for you to use on your stationary and an invoice confirming receipt of payment for your membership.
