Recognising the change in window cleaning technology is not merely down to greater efficiency and reduced cost but more down to the increasing pressure of clients to move away from ladder work.

The construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1996 have a number of statutory requirements regarding the use of ladders in particular the footing of ladders and the provision of suitable landing areas for platforms where ladders are used in a run measuring a vertical distance of more than 9m (approx. 29.5ft)

Laddersfree recognise their duty to provide information to registered members on Health and Safety legislation in order to ultimately achieve an accident free workplace. Relevant Health and Safety guidelines will be given to registered members to ensure they comply with the terms of the Health and Safety at Works Act 1974 and subsequent legislation.
