Work at Height Legislation for Window Cleaners
On 6th April 2005 the HSE published the new Work at Height Legislation, forcing decision makers to immediately review their present window cleaning services. Under the directive, duty holders must make sure that their contractors, such as window cleaners, are conforming to the legislation. Even if this means amending their present working practices.
The legislation states that duty holders must ensure that:
- the risks from work at height are assessed and appropriate work equipment (such as water fed poles) is selected and used, and;
- those involved with working at height are competent
When using LaddersFree you can be confident that your window cleaners comply with The Work at Height Legislation.
